Privacy & Cookies Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2025

This Privacy & Cookies Policy explains how Daytics (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses information when you visit daytics.com and use the Business Days Calculator.

1) Who we are

Daytics provides a free tool to calculate working days between dates. We do not run user accounts and we do not sell personal data.

Contact: info@daytics.com.

2) What we collect

3) Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage for:

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you prefer not to be measured by Google Analytics, you can use Google’s Analytics Opt-out.

4) Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

GA4 helps us understand how the site is used (for example, how many people click “Calculate”). GA4 processes device and usage information and may set first-party cookies. We do not use GA4 to identify you as a specific individual. Data retention is controlled in our Google Analytics settings.

5) Advertising (Google AdSense)

We intend to use Google AdSense to fund the service. In the UK/EU/EEA, we will respect consent requirements. Until a consent management solution is deployed, ads will be non-personalised or disabled. Google may collect information as an independent controller when ads are shown. See Google’s policies: Advertising & cookies.

6) Third-party services we call

7) Legal basis

8) Data sharing & retention

We share data with service providers (e.g., Google) to operate analytics/ads. We do not sell personal data. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. Analytics retention is managed in GA4 settings.

9) Security

We use HTTPS and standard security measures. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect the service and your data.

10) Children

Daytics is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us to remove it.

11) Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, and to object or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details above.

12) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top when changes are made.

Note on consent: If/when we enable AdSense in the UK/EU/EEA, we will implement a consent solution compatible with IAB TCF v2. Until then, ads will be non-personalised or disabled.
